Overview

Zer0 is a trading name of Coin Tempest Consulting Ltd (the "Company"), a UK registered company. "We", "Us", "Our", and "Zer0" refers to the Company. This Privacy Policy describes how Zer0 collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website and services.

What information do we collect?

We collect only the information about mailing list subscribers, account holders, as well as information that is required for the funtionality of the application. We follow a very stricy need-to-know policy on data, meaning we only store what you have asked us to store and what is minimally necessary for us to store to ensure proper functioning of the application. This data includes:

  • Names and email addresses for authentication, password resets & important alerts. We do also keep a record of names and email addresses of those who have voluntarily signed up and accepted our terms. All email lists that have been subscribed to can be easily unsubcribed from using links that can be found in the pertaining correspondence.
  • Files that are uploaded by users, stored in encrypted format. We empower the users with full control over the storage of uploaded files. Upon user deletion, files are immediately and permanently deleted from our systems.
  • File and folder meta-data (name, size, date of upload/creation). This meta-data is instantly deleted from live databases upon user-triggered deletion. We do, however, keep database backups for up to 30 days to prevent the possibilty of total loss in the event of an incident.

Use of Information

Unlike many service providers, we do not share your data with any third parties. We do make use of various third-party systems to facilitate order processing and payments, as well as cloud providers where we host our servers including our databases. These third parties do not process data that touches their systems in any way other than to facilitate the function of our website and file storage service. In other words, data is stored on your behalf with your concious consent at all times and is not processed for any reason outside of providing you with the services that you choose to make use of.

Use of Cookies

Public Website

We use cookies to gather valuable insights into trends associated with visitng our site, and purchasing our products. For example:

  • How many times did someone visit our site before purchasing a plan?
  • How many unique visits do we get per day?
  • Where do the visits come from?

We use adverising partners to ensure that we can reach audiences that are looking to solve a problem that we can help them to solve. Cookies are a vital part of making sure that we can effectively reach those who are in need of our services.

Web Application

We use only one cookie, essential for the function of the application. After authenticating, we store a session cookie in the browser which is then sent to the application in every subsequent request so that we know who is sending the request and can verify authenticity.

User Rights

All individuals and organisations for whom we hold data, have the right to request their data be removed from our systems. It should be noted that we follow a need-to-know data retention policy, and automatically delete pertaining information when accounts are permanently closed or when files are deleted. We also make it easy for users who have subscribed to mailing lists to automatically remove themselves from these lists using links that are included in the subscription's communications.
